Feverfew is historically well recognised for its effects against migraine headaches and has been clinically acknowledged for its ability to reduce the severity and/or frequency when taken as a prophylactic.

There is a significant body of research to support the role of Feverfew and its sesquiterpene lactones - considered to be the main active constituents in helping reduce the frequency of migraines. It has been found to reduce the number and severity of migraine episodes as well as the associated nausea. Feverfew is a close relative to chamomile and like chamomile contains properties that calm the smooth muscle of the digestive system.
Feverfew is a naturally occurring compound, parthenolide is thought to be a major active constituent, exhibiting anti-inflammatory properties. Allow 2-4 weeks for the full benefits of Feverfew to develop.
