Psyllium is a bulk producing laxative for the maintenance of regularity, while indirectly being of benefit to those who suffer from constipation-induced haemorrhoids.

Psyllium hulls have been used since the time of the ancient Greeks as a support to the intestinal system.

The Psyllium husk is a water soluble fibre that forms a mucilaginous gel on contact with water so acts as a bulking agent by swelling up to 14 times its original size. This enhances peristalsis which is the wave-like muscular action that moves food along in the digestive tract making it beneficial in the treatment of constipation or those suffering from hemorrhoids.

  • Produces a bulk laxative effect to assist in the management of haemorrhoids.
  • Drink plenty of water and increase fibre in the diet.

Each preservative free capsule contains:
 
  • 500mg of Psyllium Husk Powder.
 Dosage
 
For adults: take three capsules with a meal three times daily. For children age 6-12 years on medical advice: take one capsule with a meal three times daily.
